_GETengineState
Returns the engine’s rendering mode : hardware or software.
As opposed to MX3hardware, this function does not return the mode selected by the user in SCOL-voyager but rather the real display mode.

ENGINE_HARDWARE Hardware mode
ENGINE_SOFTWARE Software mode
